Writing copy is hard. It's taken me years to develop the skill and yet I've been running successful webinars almost since my very first day online.
It's so much easier to sell when you can answer questions and demonstrate just how awesome your product is.
The first hurdle that most people face is the actual technology.
It seems scary and expensive.
What happens if I make a mistake LIVE?
People will shun me and I'll have to move away to Siberia forever.
Do you worry about making a mistake when you're talking to a friend on the phone?
Then you have nothing to worry about here.
You can start by using Google hangouts, which are free.
You don't have to spend a penny and you can get a feel for what it's like to perform live.
Should I Be On Camera?
Some people love to leave their webcam on and star in their webinars.
I started doing webinars before this became all the rage, so I stay in the shadows.
I would rather let my slides and material be the star of the show.
Plus my desk is right next to a big window so the lighting is always a nightmare.
If you are going to be on camera, make sure you comb your hair and brush your teeth. 😉
A lot of your audience will prefer being able to see you, so it can be worth the effort.
The best thing about webinars is your ability to control price.
A product that you would sell for seventy bucks on a sales page will sell for three hundred dollars or more on a webinar.
Most webinars are designed to sell more expensive items ranging up into the thousands of dollars.
They are the most effective way to design a sales process and sell your high-ticket coaching.
If you are just starting out online, then you should seriously consider adding webinar to your toolkit….
- You can run a webinar without spending money
- Webinars are easier than sales pages
- You can sell more expensive products
