For years I’ve danced around the idea of starting my own Facebook ads campaign, but I’ve let fear and lack of knowledge limit me. But that ends NOW.
The effort that goes into writing a book is enormous. Every time I put pen to paper I create something living. I take my thoughts and turn them into a reality. So when that work is complete, I absolutely want people to read and enjoy my work.
When you setup your blog, one of the early steps is to create that first opt-in form. This is an important early decision but it’s made from a state of ignorance. You don’t know your audience yet and over time what they want will change. It’s time to adapt to their needs and grow your mailing list FAST.
Most parents allow their children to be raised by television. It’s how I was raised and it’s how many of my contemporaries approach parenting. We are so busy with work that we pass on more and more of the child-rearing responsibilities to teachers and television. But it doesn’t have to be that way…
Books are not magical self-perpetuating machines. A properly launched book can do very well, but like everything else we launch into the sky, eventually gravity will bring it back down. Your book does not have to suffer like Icarus, however, the resurrection of a book is always possible.
Not every idea is going to be a winner. For every million-dollar idea, there are a million stinkers. People spend tens of thousands of money on terrible ideas every day. I don’t want that to happen to you. There is no reason to invest your time and money in a terrible idea.
Many people get through life without ever negotiating for anything. They take what is offered and accept every deal at face value. They get less out of life all because they want to avoid the social awkwardness of a failed negotiation. The give up so much just because they want to avoid feeling a little uncomfor
My favorite thing about any new hobby is the gear. My childhood is littered with sports and hobby stuff that I gave up on once I had all the coolest gear I wanted. It’s very tempting to always go for the best and most expensive stuff.
It feels great when other people see you driving the best car and wearing the best backpack.
But is that the best way to build your business?
Your American driver’s license is not a magical document. Even though you think we are the best country in the world, it doesn’t mean that the rest of the world automatically accepts that document.
