How do I write a 2021 blog post?

My advice would be to plan ahead. Think about the direction in which you want to go and what you want to achieve with that post. Don’t forget that you are serving your audience!  Don’t be lazy and do some research, especially if you are going to talk about some well-known facts or other people. But don’t overthink it, either. Stop hesitating and start writing. 

The idea of writing blog ideas, especially now, can seem a bit daunting. You might question yourself and your creative abilities or you might wonder how you can find and reach people interested in what you have to say.

Most importantly, you might worry about how you are going to take care of the ideas of your blog, and rightfully so. Essentially, that’s the message that you are sending out there.

If you are already an established blogger, you should definitely devote your energy to your first 2021 post. It can be a fresh start both for you and for your blog.

Just think about the structure of the post and the information that you want to share. What do you want your readers to come away with after reading the post?

And here goes the long answer. We are living in a digital era. Whatever you do, you have to make sure that people can find you online. Many believe that blogging is becoming less relevant amid the plethora of social media, but I strongly disagree!

Social media come and go, but blogs are here to stay. Think of your blog as your own portfolio or as a little corner where you can express yourself freely. You are your own boss, as every aspect of it depends entirely on you.

Besides, you have all of your thoughts in one place and you can easily track and analyze your progress and communication with your audience. Your writing skills will be thankful!

And by being constantly active and posting, you subtly let your future collaborators and clients know that you are up and running. You solve their problems and you get paid for it! How cool is that?! 

What should I post on my first blog?

With so many blogs around, you might easily get discouraged even before you type the first word of your first blog post! But don’t indulge in negative thinking. Instead, try to be as pragmatic about it as possible. You are there to offer solutions to your readers.

So, how do you start?  Jot down ideas in your phone or notebook whenever they pop up in your mind. Write them down so that you don’t forget them.

Next, pick one. I would recommend that you start right away with the topic that you know better than anything else. Sharing your expertise will give you the boost of confidence that we all need from time to time.  Before posting, make sure to do thorough research and add keywords and appealing images. 

How do I come up with a blog post?

Coming up with ideas for the new posts can be tricky. Even after you set off and establish your blog and writing style, you may still find it difficult to maintain content consistency.

So, what do you do when that happens?

First, think about what your audience would like to read. What questions would they like to get answered? What are they interested in? What things do they care about? How can you help them?

Second, go on and check other blogs. Take a close look at your competition. What are they writing about? What are they overlooking? What pieces are missing? Can you write on that? Keep in mind to work on new angles that will differentiate you from the crowd.
